When I was a little girl, my class was having an Easter bonnet contest. We couldn't afford new anything, but my mother meticulously pieced together a bonnet out of bits of paper sacks, and painted it with my poster paints so I wouldn't be the only girl without out a hat. My mother has always made the best of what she has. lemonade from lemons, and I love that about her.
